"Fort Boyard": and Jimmy Mohamed broke his ankle in the middle of the event

It all started well for doctor and presenter Jimmy Mohamed . Not only did the host of "Mag de la santé" on France 5 climb the fort barehanded—tied up, of course—as if he'd been doing it all his life to reach Father Fouras's lair, up there, but he also answered his riddle in less than five seconds. Thanks to him, the gates of Fort Boyard opened, and the happy group was able to embark on their adventure.
The rules of the game haven't changed: win 7 keys in a limited time to open the gates of the Treasure Room. For this new episode of this 36th edition, the last for Olivier Minne after twenty-three years of good and loyal service , the boss of the program, which will be leaving for M6 at the start of the school year, had gathered a great crowd.
Stéphane Bern , the PAF's Heritage Minister, very excited and visibly delighted to be playing this team game, the comedian Marie s'infiltre, the former swimmer Frédérick Bousquet, whose sixth participation it is, the multi-medal-winning disabled swimmer and presenter of "Slam" Théo Curin , the journalist Virginie Sainsily and Jimmy Mohamed who is not about to forget the filming.
After a flying start, the day turned sour for the host of "Le Mag de la santé." While his two sidekicks, Stéphane Bern and Théo Curin, had just brilliantly won the King of Silence challenge—three challenges to overcome, including swallowing a super-spicy soup and opening a bottle of champagne, both without making a sound—Father Fouras nominated him for the L'Horlogerie challenge.
"Because the doctors are always late," laughed the 37-year-old. "You're our strong link!" his teammates shouted to encourage him, singing "Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy!" For this event, Olivier Minne warns, you mustn't get dizzy to set everything straight.
In the small room the candidate enters, there are seven clocks on the wall, but only one contains the key. To retrieve it, there's only one way: stop the hand on each dial. Once stopped, you must immediately lower a lever and move on to the next.
But be careful, it's not all simple because, to access the dials, you have to run on a spinner. A rather complex game, which has only been successfully completed three times in six attempts, by skater Nathalie Péchalat , former Miss France Diane Leyre and journalist Jean-Baptiste Marteau .
It starts off very strongly for Jimmy Mohamed, who demonstrates astonishing agility and stops two needles with a masterful hand. But while the show has been going for eighteen minutes, as Le Parisien had revealed (the episode was filmed in mid-May), it's the fall .
Adrenaline rush, stress, it's like being at the Tour de France when a cyclist falls on a crazy descent. But like a true athlete, the doctor gets up immediately and sets off again to attack his clocks. Like a goat, to the encouragement of his friends—"Jimmy, you're a champion"—he stops the third, fourth, fifth, sixth hands. Only one more to go, we're almost there.
And it's the... relapse. As he tackles the seventh and final clock, he falls onto the spinning board again. We see him grab his left ankle with both hands, wincing in pain. If he steps out of the camera's view, we hear his acolytes encouraging him: "You got it, you got it," says comedian Marie s'infiltre.
"He's already back up, he's doing really well," continues Olivier Minne. And then Jimmy Mohammed finally comes out. His face tense, but the key in his hand. The team is jubilant! The injured man less so...
"I sprained my ankle a little. I'll let you get the other keys. I'm going to go to the infirmary," the candidate says, smiling despite everything. There are still nearly two hours of games left. Will the doctor come back?
If the team is a five-person team for the next stage, his fans can rest assured that, despite intense pain resulting from a double ankle fracture that required surgery on May 15, the candidate has completed filming. Likewise, the host resumed his "Health Magazine" upon his return to Paris. Hats off to the athlete!
